A new piece of crossover fan art shows Star Wars’ ultimate villain, Darth Vader, facing off with the Predator. First created for the eponymous 1987 sci-fi action film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Carl Weathers, Predators are an extra-terrestrial species known for their hunting prowess and insatiable desire to track only the deadliest game. While the Predator franchise was not enjoyed anywhere near the level of success Star Wars has, it has still managed to spawn three sequel films and two crossovers with the Alien franchise with Alien vs. Predator and Alien vs. Predator: Requiem. A new prequel film set 300 years before the first film, dubbed Prey, is also currently expected to hit the Hulu streaming service sometime later this year. This also does not account for the plethora of other spinoff media such as novels, comic books and games which have all been inspired by the fan favorite species of alien hunter.
