Warning! Spoilers for Justice League Incarnate #5 by DC Comics
In a time of great crisis, Orion was just made the new leader of Apokolips after his father, Darkseid, was overcome by the Great Darkness. Darkseid's son agreed to become the new ruler of Apokolips in an attempt to do the seemingly impossible: bring peace between Apokolips and New Genesis as a bigger threat is about to be unleashed in the DC Universe.
Orion is Darkseid's second-born son who has spent his life trying to escape his dark lineage. Orion grew up on New Genesis after Darkseid and Highfather agreed to trade sons to broker peace between the warring planets. While Mister Miracle grew up in the pits of Apokolips, Orion became one of New Genesis' most important protectors. However, Orion's hot-headed nature and disguised appearance (via Mother Box) are constant reminders of his true origin and connection to Darkseid. With the ruler of Apokolips taken off the board by the Great Darkness, Orion is taking on a surprising new role as the planet's new lord.
