Daredevil and the other Marvel Netflix shows are coming to Disney+ internationally on March 16 — which could finally settle longstanding questions about whether old Marvel Television shows are canon in the main MCU timeline. There's long been intense debate over whether or not Marvel Television's old TV shows should be considered canon to the mainstream MCU; the historic relationship was rather one-sided, and deteriorated after a split at Marvel in 2015. Over the last few months, Marvel Studios chose to bring back several high-profile actors from the old Marvel Netflix shows—notably Charlie Cox's Daredevil and Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin. This, naturally, meant the debate heated up once again.
In early February, Netflix loaded their Marvel shows with pop-ups revealing they would be leaving the streaming service on March 1, 2022. It was later confirmed the rights had returned to Disney, with the House of Mouse presumably purchasing them, just as CBS recently bought back global distribution for Star Trek: Discovery. Disney has now begun sending out emails confirming these Marvel Netflix shows will be coming to Disney+, so far only in countries with the Star package, which allows for more mature content. This could finally settle the canon debate at last.

Although Star appears on the Disney+ interface as a second selectable panel for registered user accounts, Star content is designed to appear throughout the interface as well. That means viewers with Star enabled can select the «Marvel» panel and see Star content that's available in their region, such as Logan, Deadpool, or Hit-Monkey.
