Screen Rant can exclusively present a clip from the new time traveling romance Press Play, which arrives in theaters June 24 from The Avenue and is set to be available simultaneously on Digital and On Demand. The new movie stars Clara Rugaard (Teen Spirit) and Lewis Pullman (Top Gun: Maverick) as star-crossed lovers, with Lyrica Okano (Marvel’s Runaways) as a best friend and sister respectively, and the iconic Danny Glover as a wise record shop owner who knows his way around love and music.
Press Play was directed by Greg Björkman, who worked as assistant editor on The Fault in Our Stars, in his feature film directorial debut. It was also co-written by him and James Bachelor (Dungeons & Derrick), showcasing a deep passion for the intricate story and the art of filmmaking at large. The film follows Laura (Rugaard) and Harrison (Pullman)'s picture-perfect romance and shared love of music, complete with an old-fashioned mixtape full of modern music. Laura is given the chance to save him through that very same mixtape after a tragic accident, but replaying love doesn't always mean you can remix it.

In Screen Rant's exclusive clip, provided by The Avenue, Laura shares her frustrations with the kindly Cooper (Glover). No matter what she tries to change in the past, things keep turning out in the same way and Harrison dies one way or another. Cooper offers his wise take, but it doesn't seem like Laura is ready to listen. Check out the clip from Press Play by watching the embedded video or clicking the linkbelow:

Cooper initial advice to break the pattern makes sense, but doesn't offer a lot of insight into the necessary steps.
