Now streaming on HBO Max, The Tourist is a gripping drama starring Jamie Dornan as The Man. Dornan's character tries to discover his identity while in the heart of the Australian Outback. Also starring is Danielle MacDonald, who plays Probationary Constable Helen Chambers.
Screen Rant spoke to MacDonald about her experience making The Tourist, shooting in Australia, working with Dornan, and more.

Screen Rant: What sets The Tourist apart from anything that you've done before?
Danielle MacDonald: It's kind of the first thing that brought me back home to Australia for such a long period of time. It's also the longest thing I've ever been on. I've never been on a project for five months before. It's crazy how that actually really does affect you. You become so so close and so invested in the character when you live with it for so long. So that's very different. But also, Helen's just kind of a joy. She's really like a ray of sunshine, which is really a nice feeling. So I think that's kind of what I take away from it.

You get to shoot in the Australian Outback, what were the best and worst things about shooting out there?
Danielle MacDonald: The best thing was definitely the fact that it's kind of like camp and everyone's in the same situation. Everyone's away from home. The town is so small that you can walk around it in five minutes, and every one of the crew is just there. So you go to the same pub every night, we played pool every single night, and that was such a fun experience that really bonds you in a really nice way.
