CD Projekt Red has just released another new update patch for Cyberpunk 2077, addressing more of the game’s many bugs and glitches across all major platforms. CDPR’s open-world take on the popular Cyberpunk tabletop RPG franchise had one of the most infamous game launches in recent memory when it first hit shelves in the winter of 2020, as it shipped with so many game-crashing glitches that a massive Day 1 download patch was necessary just to get Cyberpunk 2077 in a playable state and online retailers like PlayStation Network temporarily pulled the digital version as CDPR worked to correct its many technical issues.
What came next was a series of update patches and fixes for Cyberpunk 2077, which addressed the worst of the bugs and have slowly started to redeem both the game and CD Projekt Red in the eyes of players that were disappointed by the initial launch after a nearly five-year-long development cycle and a massive marketing push spearheaded by actor Keanu Reeves — who lent his voice and likeness to Cyberpunk 2077’s rebellious rocker Johnny Silverhand. This journey seemingly reached its zenith with the long-awaited release of Cyberpunk 2077’s PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S updates earlier this year, which enhanced the game’s graphics and added many features that were previously promised by CDPR before Cyberpunk 2077’s launch — such as the ability to customize V after the start of the game and an updated skill tree.
