A new mod for Cyberpunk 2077 has launched, allowing players to engage with romantic interest Judy Alvarez in a much more natural and realistic way. Many players feel that CD Projekt Red underdelivered on its promise of a massive, next-gen sci-fi RPG, which is part of what has led to mods that improve Cyberpunk 2077's graphics, vehicle handling, NPCs, and more.
Cyberpunk 2077, much like CD Projekt Red's other RPG franchise The Witcher, includes multiple different NPCs that players can romance. Some of these characters amount to little more than flings or one-night stands, while others play much larger roles in the overall story of the game, and their romance subplots are far more fleshed-out. Judy Alvarez is one of these more significant romance options, as she is introduced early on in the game and is the focus of one of Cyberpunk 2077's larger quest lines. Judy is a fan-favorite character, and many players have chosen her as their love interest in the game for this reason. However, although the 1.5 patch for Cyberpunk 2077 made romancing Judy better, some may feel that things are a bit lackluster after the initial coupling up, as she remains unnaturally static in her behavior whenever V visits her at her apartment.

Recognizing this, Nexus Mods user deceptious opted to develop a mod that would expand Judy's range of post-courting behavior. Whereas Judy would remain exclusively by her window in vanilla Cyberpunk 2077, she will engage in various activities thanks to the mod, including eating, showering, and sleeping (without a prompt from the player). A "hug" prompt has also been added through this mod, allowing users to engage in realistically intimate behavior
