Three custom RTX 4090 graphic cards are up for grabs for players of Cyberpunk 2077 after CD Projekt Red introduced a new alternate reality game in Night City. It is no secret that while Cyberpunk 2077 didn't have the best of launches, the 2020 open-world game has seen a huge resurgence as of late. Thanks to both the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime and the latest update for Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red's most recent title has seen millions of players flock to it in recent weeks.
Multiple factors have contributed to the revival of Cyberpunk 2077's player base, including the announcement of the Phantom Liberty expansion coming to the game in 2023, the critically acclaimed Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime adaptation, and the consistent release of patches for the title that have seen it improve greatly from the days of its buggy launch. While some may have predicted that gamers would return to Night City following these things, few could have predicted the scale of the resurgence, as Cyberpunk 2077's concurrent player count even surpassed that of The Witcher 3 on Steam recently.
Cyberpunk 2077 Credits Still Mention the Unreleased Multiplayer Mode
Now, it seems that CD Projekt Red is capitalizing on the success of Cyberpunk 2077 by giving its players a challenge to complete in-game. Following a cryptic post on the developer's Twitter, players were informed that a «runner found a weird code» in the Net. Should a player find this code's location in Night City, they will get a message from a fixer about some «preem hardware.» A blog post on Cyberpunk 2077's website showed off what this «preem hardware» is by featuring an image of a custom RTX 4090.
