Indie publisher Curve Games is ramping up its Chinese business.
In a post on LinkedIn, the company said that it was setting up a business development unit to bolster what it already has in the country. Curve says that this will "more than double" its resources in China. Furthermore, the company says that it has inked a deal with Tencent's TiMi studio group.
“There is an exciting shift going on," Curve's VP for Asia Publishing, Glenn Wang (pictured), said.
"Indies are emerging. Local and global ambitions are taking us into the heart of the eco-system. There is also a wide variety of entertainment and leisure companies looking for content.
Curve executive chair Stuart Dinsey added" “Asia has been a major part of our business for several years now, but we expect that to grow further, so we are building a five-strong team to forge new publishing deals and extend content maximisation with new platforms.
“We’ve also just come back from the biggest and best ever Gamescom Asia in Singapore, further encouraging our confidence in the region. It’s loaded with talent and innovation.”
