Mountaintop, a studio made up of veterans who have worked on games like Apex Legends, Call of Duty, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Halo, Overwatch, and VALORANT, has announced Spectre Divide, a competitive tactical first-person shooter built around a “Duality” mechanic that promises to “reshape” how players approach strategy. It will be available for PC via Steam. A release date was not announced. The first major stress test will run from August 3 to 4.
“Our team has been patiently waiting for this day to show how Spectre Divide will bring new life to the genre,” said Mountaintop game director Lee Horn in a press release. “Our community’s support means everything to us and it drives us to make a better game. A huge thank you to all of our incredible playtesters who’ve helped make the game what it is over the last few years.”
