Two classic Square Enix titles are being remastered on modern systems, as Chrono Cross and Radical Dreamers are being released in a single package. There have been rumors circulating about a Chrono Cross remaster coming to PlayStation systems in the past, but this new game will be called Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition and it's coming to Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One on April 7.
Chrono Cross and Radical Dreamers are both the sequel to Chrono Trigger. Chrono Trigger has two sequels due to the choice of the developers. Radical Dreamers was originally a visual novel/adventure game that was released for the Satellaview, which was a Japan-exclusive add-on for the SNES. Many of the concepts and ideas in Radical Dreamers were reworked into Chrono Cross, which was released for the PS1. This game did receive an English localization, though it was never released in Europe.
