The Bachelor's Clayton Echard headed to fantasy suites this week and fans are dismayed at his treatment of Susie at the end of their date. After sending Serene home last week, Clayton and the three remaining women traveled to Iceland to determine if their relationships could make it to the next level. Susie, Gabby and Rachel had all expressed their love for him prior to their arrival and were generally uptight and nervous because Clayton had been reluctant to share his own feelings. Though all three women were uncertain about where his heart was headed, they remained optimistic at the prospect of being his final choice.
Clayton's behavior has been questioned for weeks now, especially in light of the fact that it took him so long to see through villain Shanae's antics. Over the last couple weeks, he has both expressed and retracted feelings of regret at having participated on the show, and until now has garnered fan support and empathy for the tough situations he'd been experiencing. When facing the women on the tell-all, he acknowledged his missteps and viewers' wish for him to address the situation with Shanae finally came to pass. Several of the women hinted ominously at knowing how the season ends, which set a darker tone for this week's episode.
