Evil is back for season 3, and the fascinating mystery thriller is going places it's never gone before after trading CBS for Paramount+. Not only did last season leave fans with one hell of a cliffhanger in terms of the romantic tension between Kristen (Katja Herbers) and David (Mike Colter), but it also left many viewers freaked out by the dark path Kristen's mother Sheryl (Christine Lahti) has found herself heading down.
Now that Evil has returned, and its new streaming platform has given it more latitude with chills and thrills, viewers can see more of Sheryl is up to. Between her demons, Eddie dolls and shrunken heads, it's no wonder that Kristen's husband Andy wanted her out of the house and away from this kids. But is Grandma Luria going to take no for an answer when the sanctity of her family bonds are at stake? She's ready to turn to Leland (Michael Emerson) once more if that's what it takes, which sound make everyone — including him — very afraid.

Screen Rant spoke to Lahti about the Evil journey that has taken her from everyone's favorite grandma to everyone's favorite cult leader, her collaboration process with the showrunners (Robert & Michelle King, who are also known for The Good Wife), and her views on Sheryl and Leland's cat-and-mouse dynamic in season 3.
