Chocobo GP's free premium currency bonus will expire after five months, even after you've redeemed it.
Before Chocobo GP's launch, Square Enix announced that it would be giving all players 850 Mythril for free, noting that it should be enough of the premium currency to be able to access the game's first season which contains Cloud Strife as a reward. Although it seemed like a nice gesture on the behalf of Square, it now seems like it was a little less genuine.

As pointed out by several early adopters of Chocobo GP, the game will offer you 850 Mythril for free when you first start the game. Sounds good, right? Well, as it turns out, that currency is only eligible for a certain amount of time before it expires, even if you end up redeeming it.
This was pointed out by Twitter user Terotrous, who shared an image of the Myhril offering, which points out that the premium currency will expire after five months. Although this was initially believed to be for purchases of the Mythril, it turns out that it's just referring to the free offering that Square promised for the first season.
Essentially, this means that players who redeem the free Mythril have no choice but to spend it in the first five months of the game's launch, rather than choosing to save it for future items or seasons. It's not really clear why Square Enix has decided to put a timer on it, but it makes the free gift feel a little more forced. Why not just offer the first season for free, rather than giving a timed currency that can only really be used on the season anyway?
