CD Projekt Red has revealed a bunch of its upcoming projects, including "a new standalone IP" the studio has been quietly working on since late 2021.
During a recent wide-reaching investor call followed by developer presentation, the company for the first time touched upon its third major gaming IP we've never heard of before, codenamed Project Hadar. Alongside the future installments in The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 series, the Polish studio has been quietly conceptualizing its next project for almost a year now.

While the details are predictably very scarce at the moment, we learned this mysterious new game will be "100 percent developed internally" by CDPR itself, meaning the company has probably pretty high hopes for it. The title is currently in the earliest conceptual phase with only a "small strike team" of developers incubating the future game. What this means, is that the active stage of development could begin only in a few years, considering how busy the company's pipeline looks now.
From the sound of it, we probably won't be hearing about Project Hadar for a pretty long time, but fans can already speculate about it. Given that CDPR has been mostly working on role-playing games before, we can assume this new IP is also an RPG in a yet-to-be-revealed setting. Another lingering question is whether this project is based on the already existing property like both The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 are, or if it'll be the first-ever IP created by CDPR from scratch. Judging by the tweet above, it's definitely the second, which is all but exciting.
