In a series of tweets, female hip-hop icon Cardi B lamented what led to what she calls her «missing out on a multi-millon dollar deal» from a potential collaboration with Call of Duty. Now fans are left to wonder what could have been in terms of a Cardi B Call of Duty commercial or in-game appearance.
Every year in the lead up to a new Call of Duty release, Activision tends to roll out the celebrities to help advertise its games. Fans have already seen the likes of Pete Davidson, Steve Aoki, and TimTheTatman star in some live-action commercials this year. Apparently, Cardi B was set to join that roster but due to a scheduling conflict, she was unable to make her mark on the Call of Duty franchise.

In some tweets the rapper made last week, she said she could not attend a scheduled shoot day because it conflicted with a court appearance. She had to appear for a court date where she pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor assault charges stemming from a 2018 incident involving her and two other women that worked at an adult entertainment club. Her court appearance on September 15 clashed with a supposed Call of Duty shoot day. It is assumed that due to other circumstances, Activision and representatives for Cardi B were not able to reschedule her shoot day. Her tweets about the situation did not specify what she would have been doing for Activision, but she had a «multi-million dollar» offer on the table with the publisher.
She took this moment as an opportunity to give a lesson to her fans that choosing violence isn't always the right answer. And that incidents in the past can come back to haunt a person. In her case, it will hurt her pockets to the tune of millions
