The upcoming Captain America 4 will follow Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson and explore what it means to be a superhero without powers, says Marvel producer Nate Moore. Chris Evans' time as Captain America came to an end with 2019's Avengers: Endgame when, after defeating Thanos, he opts to return to the 1940s and live his life with Peggy. When Steve and Sam cross paths again, Steve is an old man and he chooses to pass his shield (and the mantle of Captain America) over to his ally.
