Exoprimal appears not to have taken off as the developers at Capcom had hoped, and that may have been confirmed by the fact that the game will no longer receive any updates after this final season ends.
The mechanical dinosaur-blasting RPG Exoprimal launched back in July of 2023, and since then it hasn’t gained much traction in the gaming space. This was Capcoms shot at making a live-service title, and even though they have had several collaborations with major franchises, the idea of the title never really caught on.
This idea of a lack of player base was solidified even further by Capcom announcing that after Jul 11th, Exoprimal will no longer be receiving any content updates. This is just one short year after launch, and though online service will still be available, there will not be any new seasons heading to the game. Season Passes will also become available, letting anyone who wants to get their hands on previous season content earn those rewards as they continue to play.
Basically, a new season will cycle through for fans to enjoy every month, but will only be content repeating itself from seasons one through four. While the future remains unclear for Exoprimal, the developers insist that the game will remain online and available for play, but only time will tell us whether or not that will be the case long term.
