Call of Duty Warzone and Vanguard are currently knee-deep in Season 3: Classified Arms. Fresh weapons, Operators, and more are part of the new Battle Pass on Caldera. King Kong and Godzilla arrive next week as part of Operation Monarch, but there’s work to be done on the backend before that. Raven Software’s latest update is now live.
As detailed in the patch notes, the focus here is on weapons, vehicles, and bug fixes. The new Nikita AVT was called out specifically, as it hasn’t been living up to Raven’s expectations since it arrived. In fact, Vanguard weapons have by and large proved weak in Warzone, according to the writeup. Meanwhile, the Armored Truck has proven too powerful, so that’s been nerfed a bit. As for the future of Warzone, Call of Duty devs have responded vaguely as to whether skins and cosmetics will transfer to Warzone 2. That’s not the only thing up in the air for Warzone 2 either. It’s reportedly going to be the last one on PlayStation in 2023, and a prominent Call of Duty leaker claims it’ll feature a Modern Warfare 2-themed map. Modern Warfare 2 has at least been officially confirmed.
