The immensely popularCall of Duty: Warzone recently saw the arrival of Season 4, bringing with it plenty of changes as well. For many Warzone players, the biggest announcement for Mercenaries of Fortune was the reveal of a brand new Battle Royale map, leading many players to worry that Rebirth Island could be retired to make room. However, Raven calmed those fears when it revealed the addition of a weekly map rotation system for Warzone, cycling through Rebirth Island, Fortune's Keep, and Caldera.
In addition to new game modes, weapons, and operators, one thing that hasn't changed is the Gulag known as Hold on the Caldera map. While it was made to resemble the belly of a ship, its addition during Season 3 was a controversial one due to its long and narrow design which seemingly favored camping due to limited lines of sight. Ultimately, players would simply sit and wait for the other to sprint or walk by, making the fight more frustrating than fun and intense.

However, the major issue that many faced with the Hold version of the Gulag was with the audio, which blended in with those above the map waiting and watching for their turn in the 1v1 battle below. At times, audio and footsteps have been a constant issue throughout Warzone's lifespan, but in this case, the added noise and footsteps served as a distraction and made it very difficult, if not impossible, to hear the enemy player and their movements. Although it took an entire season, Raven has finally dealt with the frustrating issue.
