Sledgehammer Games is, unsurprisingly, already making its next Call Of Duty but there’s no word on it being a Call Of Duty: Vanguard sequel.
Much like how you can always expect the sun to rise and set every day, you can also expect Activision’s studios to be working on a new Call Of Duty game. As such, it’s hardly surprising to hear that Sledgehammer Games is now working on its next entry in the franchise.
This hasn’t been officially stated by Sledgehammer Games or Activision, and comes from anonymous sources, but it’s not exactly a leftfield suggestions. No other details were shared though, aside from the fact that the game is currently in pre-production.
Basically, it’s still early days for the project, so any info shared now is subject to change anyway. The sources already say that there is uncertainty over what the final product will be like.

The writers behind Call Of Duty: Vanguard (the studio’s most recent game and the most recent premium Call Of Duty game) revealed that they had ideas for at least two direct sequels, expressing fondness for the key cast of characters.
While not impossible, even one sequel doesn’t seem especially likely. Call Of Duty: Vanguard’s announcement didn’t generate much buzz and it launched to average reviews.
The sales weren’t much better. Although it was one of the best-selling premium games of 2021, sales had dropped considerably compared to the last game, Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. As a result it suffered the worst launch since the original Modern Warfare from 2007.
