One of the major selling points for the upcoming season of content for Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone is the appearance of two of cinema's most iconic monsters — Godzilla and King Kong. Sledgehammer Games is teasing the battleground Caldera will become once the two kaiju finally make landfall as part of Season 3, Classified Arms, and its Godzilla vs. Kong tie-in event, Operation Monarch. Recently, the latest trailer for Season 3 was released, giving players a brief first look at the chaos Kong and Godzilla are bringing to Call of Duty.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is the 18th entry in the long-running first-person shooter series, but it is only the third in the series to see Sledgehammer Games serve as lead developer. It takes Call of Duty back to its World War 2 roots and puts players in the boots of an elite Allied team sent into Germany to uncover a plot to ensure the Third Reich survives Germany and Hitler's downfall. Warzone was given a matching update in the form of Caldera, a Pacific island where players can partake in a World War 2-set edition of the battle royale.
Call of Duty Players Want Fewer Attachments For Vanguard Weapons
Players got a look at some of the content coming their way when Season 3 of Vanguard and Warzone kicks off on April 27 in the Classified Arms battle pass trailer. The trailer highlights the new weapons and gear players can take into battle, whether in Warzone or team deathmatch. As mentioned above, though, the biggest highlight of the trailer is the first look at Kong and Godzilla as players try to maneuver around the titanic monsters.
