The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 closed beta start date has potentially been leaked. As a follow-up to 2019's reboot of the modern sub-series, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will let players engage in realistic and heart-pounding battles across a variety of modes. The title's single-player campaign will pick up where Modern Warfare left off, while also reintroducing iconic characters like John «Soap» MacTavish and Simon «Ghost» Riley. Modern Warfare 2 will also see the return of the franchise's iconic competitive multiplayer mode, along with the cooperative narrative-driven Special Ops experience. Little has been seen of the title's multiplayer, but Infinity Ward promises to deliver another robust and exciting experience. As reported by Video Games Chronicle, the start date of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer beta may have been leaked by Amazon. Gamers who pre-order the game will receive access to a closed multiplayer beta before release, and according to Amazon these beta codes will be sent out on August 15. While this in no way confirms that the beta will start on that day, presumably codes will be sent on or around the beta's start date.
