Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launched last week, and early critical reception for the game’s single-player campaign has been largely positive, though in the days following its release, the first-person shooter seems to have attracted criticism from section of its playerbase.
At the time of writing, on Steam, the game currently has a “Mixed” user rating, with roughly 36 percent of the 3,200-plus user reviews for the game so far being negative. A number of the negative reviews have criticized the game’s long and frustrating installation process, while technical bugs, optimization issues, server connectivity issues, and the game’s always online requirements have also been criticized by others, among other things.
Meanwhile, a large share of the user reviews are, of course, positive, with praise being directed at its single-player campaign, Zombies mode, and the omni-movement mechanics.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
