An industry insider suggests that Bully 2 may still be in development at Rockstar Games, despite the developer's recent announcement of Grand Theft Auto 6. The 2006 adventure allows players to explore the open-world town of Bullworth and rise through the ranks at Bullworth Academy. While many fans have recently begun petitioning for Bully 2, Rockstar Games' official confirmation of GTA 6dashed many gamers' hopes for a return to Bullworth.
Bully adopted the open-world format made famous by Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto series, but the game put players in control of juvenile delinquent Jimmy Hopkins rather than a cold-blooded criminal. The classic title focuses on Hopkins' efforts to increase his popularity at Bullworth, with story missions improving his reputation among various different cliques. Bully also lets players complete side objectives in town, and classes take the form of mini-games that grant special bonuses once completed. While the project was reportedly cancelled, Bully 2 would have implemented a whole host of innovative features, featured a map three times bigger than the original game and boasted fully explorable building interiors.

As reported by GamingBolt, industry insider Tom Henderson (via Twitter) recently reaffirmed his belief that a newBully project is in development. Henderson has recently been vocal about a potential Bully 2, but the recent announcement of GTA 6 has made followers doubt the insider's intel. However, Henderson points out that the reveal of GTA 6 does not mean that the title will be Rockstar's next release.
