Mothza Supreme is the first creature players encounter in Bugsnax, knocking the player off their ship and stranding them on Snaktooth Island. With that sort of buildup, it's not unreasonable to think that this is Bugsnax's final boss, or something of similar importance.
Surprisingly, however, the player doesn't need to encounter Mothza Supreme at all. Like most of Bugsnax's boss battles, Mothza Supreme is hidden at the end of an optional sidequest chain, and players rushing toward the end won't run into it.

However, just because they can skip it doesn't mean they should. Some of Bugsnax's most charming moments are hidden in its sidequests, and the Mothza Supreme battle is one of the game's more interesting set pieces.
Mothza Supreme can be found near the end of the game in the Sizzlin Sands area. As players might suspect, they'll fight it at the large pyramid.
In order to spawn it, however, players need to bring along Cromdo, Bugsnax's resident shady salesman and Beffica's nemesis. His sidequest chain involves searching for a treasure map leading to a giant Bugsnak and supposed riches.
It's split into three parts. The first involves catching a Buffalocust, also in the Sizzlin Sands area. The second part is a minor comedic stealth section in Snaxburg. The final part is the boss battle.
Cromdo will guide the player to the pyramid, and hit a hidden switch on top. A stone pizza cutter will surge from underground, in front of one of the surrounding statues, set it in position to shatter the coffin lying in front.
The player can activate the pizza cutter using Bugsnax's Snak Grappler, opening the coffin and revealing the Bombino, a pizza roll like bugsnak.
