A new trailer for Breeders season 3 teases a very frustrated Martin Freeman. Breeders follows parents Paul (played by Black Panther's Freeman) and Ally (played by Daisy Haggard) as they navigate their work responsibilities, their relationship, and the pressures of raising children. Season 2 left off in a tense place, with Paul and Ally's relationship on the rocks after their son, Luke (Alex Eastwood), punches Paul in the face.
Now FX reveals a trailer for Breeders season 3, where Paul will continue to face challenges both at work and at home. The trailer begins with Paul asking for time off from his boss, with intercuts during that conversation of the trials and tribulations that Paul is dealing with in his personal life. Some of these difficulties include back pain, mending his relationship with Luke, and balancing his relationships with both his parents and Ally. The Freeman-created series is known for its sharp humor and refreshingly honest look at the good, the bad, and the ugly details of parenthood. Breeders seasons 1 and 2 saw an evolution both for Ally's professional goals and Paul's handling of his anger management issues, all while they have to maintain their everyday responsibilities and schedules for their children. From the trailer, Breeders season 3 promises more cutting comments from Ally about Paul's parents, and more vulnerable scenes as Paul attempts to restore his relationship with Luke and the rest of his family. Only time will tell if Paul is successful.
