Caution: spoilers ahead for Better Call Saul season 6, episode 3
Better Call Saul doesn't explicitly confirm whether Mike Ehrmantraut keeps his final promise to Nacho Varga, but a glance toward Breaking Bad should assure concerned viewers that the cartel fix-it man remains true to his word. As Nacho continues to prove a slippery customer, Mike convinces Gus to bring the mole in and strike a bargain.
In order to avert the cartel's suspicion, Gus needs Nacho to spin the Salamancas a yarn… then take a bullet. Nacho agrees on the condition that his father (whom both Gus and the Salamancas targeted in the past) is protected. Fring agrees to the deadman's terms, but Nacho asks for assurances, prompting Mike to step forward and boldly promise anyone gunning for Mr. Varga will need to go through him first. As the one person he trusts in Better Call Saul, Nacho accepts Mike's word and goes through with the plan.
