Blue Beetle cast and crew share new photos as they wrap filming on the movie. The new film will be the first in the DCEU to introduce a Latinx superhero. Cobra Kai's Xolo Maridueña is playing Jaime Reyes/ Blue Beetle, an El Paso teenager who is implanted with a Blue Beetle scarab that gives him a superpowered exosuit. Charm City Kings filmmaker Angel Manuel Soto is helming the new movie, which was originally commissioned for a streaming-exclusive release on HBO Max. But WB later announced that it had secured a theatrical window for the movie, prompting filming to commence in May across the United States.
Now, several set photos confirm that production on Blue Beetle has ended. The announcement comes from star Belissa Escobedo and crew member Ian Caraballo who took to Instagram stories to share moments of the team celebrating after finishing work on the movie. The cast and crew are fully enjoying themselves in the BTS shots, and rightfully so, considering they have achieved a major milestone. Take a look at some of the pictures below.

The wrap-up doesn't come as much of a surprise to many considering that Blue Beetle's villain Susan Sarandon finished filming her scenes a while ago, and Carapax actor Raoul Trujillo had also recently indicated that the movie was in the final stretch of production. Nevertheless, it's heartwarming to see that everyone was able to finish filming smoothly, and the cast really bonded on the set during this time. Hopefully, the admirable chemistry between the co-stars will play into their performances as well, making Blue Beetle the memorable comic-book movie it deserves to be.
