In the upcoming Black Adam movie, starring Dwayne Johnson as the titular antihero, it appears as if either direct or indirect inspiration has been taken from Dr. Fate’s throw mechanic in NetherRealm’s Injustice 2. Interestingly, the movie and the game have nothing to do with one another, though there are a few characters from the Injustice franchise who will appear in Black Adam.
