Xbox Reveals Project Amplify To Support Young Black Developers

Earlier this year, Xbox supported Black History Month by showcasing Black creators and sharing stories of diversity at Xbox Studios.

Today, Xbox has announced a new endeavor supporting National Historically Black Colleges and Universities Week that hopes to encourage more Black students to get into the video game industry.

Xbox noted in today's blog update that despite being 13 percent of the general US working population, only two percent of professional video game developers are Black.

So to help "close this gap," Xbox has announced Project Amplify, "a video series that aims to magnify Black voices within Xbox to inspire, educate and motivate youth across the U.S.
