This summer, CBS will pair Big Brother 24 and The Challenge: USA, and the premiere date has been announced. Big Brother has been a summer staple since its debut in 2000. On the show, a group of contestants, known as houseguests, live together in a house, isolated from the outside world. They compete in challenges and create alliances to avoid being evicted from the house by their fellow houseguests. In addition to watching its three-episode a week television schedule, fans can also subscribe to the Big Brother live feeds in order to watch the houseguests' every move. Hosted by Julie Chen, Big Brother has been one of the most successful reality shows.
The Challenge: USA, a spin-off of MTV's The Challenge, is a new reality competition show that brings together fan-favorite contestants from CBS reality shows including Big Brother, Survivor, The Amazing Race and Love Island. Hosted by T.J. Lavin, CBS has said that the show will require the contestants to«compete in one of the most unpredictable and demanding games of their lives, living in a constant state of paranoia and unable to trust anyone but themselves.» In addition to winning the $500,000 prize, the champion will earn a spot on The Challenge: World Championship (working title) which will stream on Paramount+. The Challenge debuted in 1998 on MTV and is currently the longest-running reality series in television history.
