Better Call Saul stars Bob Odenkirk and Rhea Seehorn react intriguingly to an upbeat fan theory about the show’s ending. Three episodes remain for AMC’s acclaimed Breaking Bad spinoff. But one of the show’s major storylines seems to have already been wrapped up after the apparent departure of Jimmy McGill’s wife and partner-in-grifting Kim Wexler.
Seehorn’s Wexler notably was a relatively minor character when fans first entered the world of Better Call Saul back in 2015. But over the years Kim evolved into a more central figure, demonstrating more complex layers of personality as the episodes wore on. Indeed the show’s fans began to worry much more about the fate of Kim than that of Jimmy (who they knew would live to become Saul Goodman on Breaking Bad). But Kim’s arc seemed to be resolved in Better Call Saul season 6, episode 9 when she resigned from the bar, packed up her belongings and left Jimmy and her entire life behind.

But given that three episodes do remain of Better Call Saul season 6, the question stands whether Kim is truly gone or will get one more appearance on the show. Indeed there are fan theories that suggest Kim and Jimmy ultimately get a happy ending despite all the darkness they’ve endured in season 6. During a recent video segment for Vanity Fair, Jimmy actor Odenkirk and Kim actor Seehorn addressed one such fan theory, and gave an intriguing response. The theory as read by Seehorn goes, “Kim Wexler survives this series, and we will see her awkwardly reunited with Jimmy during the series finale. Both of them transformed and unsure of where to go from there.” Seehorn responded to the scenario by calling it “interesting.” Odenkirk
