Fallout 76 just released its annual roadmap with plans for new seasons, new quests, and even a brand-new map that takes players all the way to Pittsburgh. Or what’s left of Pittsburgh, anyway. And Bethesda has no plans on stopping after 2022.
In a recent interview with AusGamers (courtesy of PC Gamer), Fallout 76 design director Mark Tucker discussed the future of the game. That included the 2022 roadmap but also plans far beyond the current year.

"The funny thing is if I could share what's on this other monitor right here, you would love to see it because it's a five-year roadmap that I'm working on,” Tucker revealed. “ We have long term plans, and things get a little fuzzier the further we go out because we adjust and adapt as things show up and we see what players want and what they're doing. But, a lot of my time right now is spent on planning that three and five-year roadmap.”
Tucker admitted that the three-year roadmap is “a lot more understood” than the five-year roadmap, which gets “a little more fuzzy.” Heck, even three years is probably a little fuzzy, what with the looming threat of global nuclear war thanks to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Doubt anybody is going to want to play a game about surviving the nuclear apocalypse when they’re forced to do that in real life.
But assuming the world doesn't end in the next few weeks, Fallout 76 players have a lot to look forward to this year.
