American Pie actor Seann William Scott says that there's no way that the movie would get made today. Released in 1999, the first American Pie movie proved to be a hit with audiences, earning over $235 million at the box office and spawning three successful sequels — and a handful of poorly-received, direct-to-video spin-offs. The raunchy comedy tells the story of four teenage boys who make a pact to all lose their virginity by prom night. The last entry in the series, 2012's American Reunion, also performed well at the box office, once again earning $235 million.
In the American Pie franchise, Scott plays Steve Stifler, also known as the Stifmeister, who serves as an antagonist in the first film but becomes something of a wild card in the sequels. In addition to Scott, American Pie stars Jason Biggs, Chris Klein, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Jennifer Coolidge, Shannon Elizabeth, Alyson Hannigan, and Eugene Levy. Outside of the American Pie franchise, Scott is also known for his roles in The Dukes of Hazzard, Cop Out, Movie 43, Role Models, and as the voice of Crash in a number of the Ice Age films.

In a new interview with Jake's Takes on YouTube, Scott reflects on American Pie, saying that he doubts the movie would ever get made today. He explains that he doesn't see there ever being an "appetite for those sort of movies again" and jokes that, if some of the stuff in American Pie was attempted today, it would result in people getting arrested.
