When the Batmobile was first introduced alongside the Caped Crusader in Detective Comics #27 (1939), it was a simple red automobile based on the Cord 812. Since then, it has changed throughout each era to reflect Batman’s evolving persona. The third version of the Batmobile featured a bat crest at the front of the hood, which stayed around for a considerable time in comics. However, modern depictions have often omitted it, turning the vehicle into more of a tank than a car. This iteration also featured bat wings on the back of the Batmobile, which became a staple of Batman’s mode of transportation. When DC Comics launched Rebirth, Batman’s costume and the Batmobile were redesigned with looks that caught on among fans.

The Rebirth edition of the Batmobile is the perfect take, as it embodies Batman’s automotive history.
