Official artwork for DC Comics' upcoming One Bad Day series is showing Cassandra Cain's Batgirl at her most terrifying killer potential. One Bad Day, which is set to begin in August, will consist of a variety of one-shots focusing on many different villains in Batman's rogues' gallery. Some antagonists of note who will be featured include Two-Face, the Riddler, Mr. Freeze, Penguin and Clayface. Even anti-hero Catwoman will take the spotlight in December when she finds herself seeking a special diamond in the most personal heist she's ever done. These comics will clearly show a more personal side to Gotham's darkest villains, but it appears a notable Bat-Family member will also have a darker side explored.
Cassandra Cain's turn as Batgirl has led to her being one of the most popular takes on the character...as well as one of the most terrifying. Her costume in general is arguably one of the scariest as it's enveloped in darkness to strike fear in her enemies. Not only that, she's the daughter of an assassin and trained as such, much like how Damian Wayne was trained by the League of Assassins. While she may no longer kill like she did when first trained by her father, she's brutal and isn't afraid to do what she needs to in order to get things done. She's so scary in fact that even Red Hood and Nightwing agree she's Gotham's most terrifying hero. Now, this darker side of Cain has been unleashed in upcoming variant artwork for Two-Face's One Bad Day story.
