It appears that Dragon Ball XenoVerse 3 could be in development, as an email from Bandai Namco shared by YouTuber Burcol specifically mentions "the upcoming Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3".
This might be hard to believe considering how often it receives DLC and updates, but Dragon Ball XenoVerse 2 turns seven years old this year and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. In fact, Bandai Namco just revealed that XenoVerse 2 has now sold over 10 million units and has 1 million active monthly users, so it seems very unlikely that we'll see support end while it's still got such a large playerbase.

There is one thing that seems like it would slow down XenoVerse 2's development, however - XenoVerse 3. For years now, Dragon Ball fans have been hoping for a XenoVerse 3 announcement, only to be met with more updates and DLC for XenoVerse 2, but it looks like we might finally be seeing something brand-new.
Dragon Ball YouTuber Burcol recently took to Twitter to point out that it's been nine years since the announcement of the first Dragon Ball XenoVerse was leaked. He then mentioned that he has news on XenoVerse 3, which he shared in a separate YouTube video. The video shows Burcol reading an email that he received from Bandai Namco after submitting feedback regarding XenoVerse 2's Awoken Skills.
The email then reads, "As the developers of the game, your understanding of the player community's desires is crucial. Your efforts to engage with your viewers and gauge their interest in new transformations demonstrate a proactive approach to incorporating fan feedback.
