Divinity: Original Sin developer Larian Studios has announced it'll be bringing Baldur's Gate 3 to PS5 alongside the PC version on 31st August 2023. You can see what it looks like in the trailer above, which also confirms J.K. Simmons has joined the voice cast as an antagonist. Various versions of the game will be up for pre-order on the PS Store shortly.

Oh hell yes, this is great news! Although I must admit it’s about a year sooner than I expected. It’s competing with Tears of the Kingdom, Diablo 4 and FF16. I don't have time for them all!

They had already said that the game was coming out in August, but the console version is a nice surprise, at least for people that play CRPGs in consoles. This is a pc game for me.
I think Larian are one of the best developers in the industry right now, they've been quietly making top-tier games for a while. Divinity Original Sin 1 and 2 are the best in the genre in my opinion.

As good as Divinity 1 and 2 were, I think the console versions certainly benefited being a year or so behind the PC version. It could be worth waiting a little while on this one.
Having said that it seems to have been on early release for PC forever now, so I guess it is in a good state?
