Baldur's Gate 3 is slowly but certainly making its way to coming out of Early Access. The latest content update — Patch #7 — has just come out, and its highlight feature is the introduction of the fan-favorite Barbarian class to the character creation system.
Patch #7 also adds a number of much-needed tweaks and fixes to Baldur's Gate 3, such as a comprehensive overhaul of the in-game HUD, including the new ability hotbar, new Character Sheet and Party Panel interfaces, heaps of quality-of-life changes, and more. Potentially the most exciting new feature, however, is the ability to use improvised weapons.

Though there's much discussion on the matter of classes that should be in Baldur's Gate 3, Barbarians are the pinnacle of this particular update. Specifically, Larian has added Berserker Barbarians for players that want to create a straight-up brutalist warrior, as well as the totem-focused Wildheart Barbarians, who can take on abilities from a wolf, tiger, bear, eagle, or an elk. Depending on a player's preference, they can spec out their Berserker however they desire, with unique visual customization options opening up as they go.
Other Update #7 highlights include the aforementioned improvised weaponry. Characters can now pick up and use furniture, animals, limbs, and even certain NPCs as improvised weaponry, should they choose to do so. Though improvised armaments are unlikely to be on the top of the list of advanced combat mechanics in Baldur's Gate 3, this feature is bolstered further with the addition of dedicated thrown weapons, too, such as knives, javelins, and the like.
