The group date consisted of a 19 on 2 date, where all but the two guys who received a one-on-one date got a chance to talk to Gabby and Rachel. During the night portion of the date, 29-year-old Hayden Markowitz pulled Gabby aside and told her that he was interested in pursuing Rachel and managed to call her «rough around the edges.»
During the group date, Hayden made his intentions clear to Gabby that he was interested in pursuing Rachel, which she appreciated. However, what Gabby didn't appreciate was being called «rough around the edges.» When it was time to hand out the group date rose, Gabby decided not to hand one out, leaving both Rachel and the men shocked. Despite this, Gabby faced more rejection as 27-year-old Jacob Rapini told Gabby that he would not have the heart to continue on if she was the sole Bachelorette.
