They say you shouldn't kick someone when they're down. But considering the poor combat mechanics in Babylon's Fall, you may just end up kicking yourself. There have been games that have had bad launch days, but the premiere of Platinum Games and Square Enix's latest game was just sad, with a peak of 602 concurrent players. As it currently stands, the all-time concurrent peak hasn't even managed to double. While players gave up on the game before it even began, it seems the developers have no plan on doing so.
A tweet by the game's official handle says that the devs aren't going to fold despite the abysmal reception. "Is the continuing service in danger?" said the tweet. "No, there are no plans to reduce the scale of development on Babylon's Fall. Content up to the end of Season 2 is now practically complete and we have started work on Season 3 and beyond."

"We will continue to provide new content for the game and make improvements based on player feedback, striving to keep existing players playing and to attract newcomers," it continued. "We would like to thank all Sentinels already enjoying the world of Babylon's Fall, as we look forward to welcoming more of you in the future!"
It seems like the first problem Square and Platinum want to tackle is the game's visuals. Last week we reported that a survey was launched by the devs in order to "bring everyone an even better game experience". The survey asked various questions about the visual fidelity of characters, NPCs, animation, and UI among other things.
