The time for a Persona 6 announcement is nigh, as Atlus has announced that a new Persona concert is happening in Japan in 2022, and these events have traditionally concluded with an announcement for a new Persona game. The Persona series celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2021 and Atlus promised a year of celebrations, yet there hasn't been much in the way of new announcements.
The year of Persona announcements has mostly boiled down to Japan-exclusive merchandise. There has been no word regarding remasters or ports of older games, save for one fighting game, even though there are plenty of Persona games that deserve to be brought to modern systems. There haven't been any new spin-offs announced, and most people assume that the next big reveal will be for Persona 6, as it has been years since the launch of Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal, and there still hasn't been a peep about the next mainline entry in the series.

So far, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax on modern systems has been the only big event during the Persona 25th anniversary celebrations, but that could soon change. Atlus has announced that the Persona Super Live P-Sound WISH 2022 Concert will happen on October 8-9 in Japan; this is a concert that will feature songs from throughout the history of the series. Fans outside of Japan can watch the show via a pay-per-view stream. The Persona Central Twitter account has pointed out that these events have included announcements for new games in the past, so a Persona 6 reveal could be on the way.
