Upon its announcement last year, Ubisoft said that Assassin’s Creed Mirage would be out sometime in 2023, with leaks claiming that the open world title was targeting a Spring launch, though in the absence of any significant updates on the game or its release since then, that has started to come into question. It seems, however, that an August release might well be on the cards for the title.
A Reddit user claiming to be a GameStop employee recently posted an off-screen image of the retailer’s marketing schedule for upcoming games, which, interestingly enough, lists Assassin’s Creed Mirage as an August game. The user posted another follow-up image as evidence for the same, and also stated that August isn’t the game’s placeholder launch timing, since its placeholder launch in the retailer’s systems is listed as December 31.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard rumblings of Assassin’s Creed Mirage targeting an August release, with leaks claiming the same in December last year. More recently, however, it was alleged that the game had been internally delayed and was not scheduled to release between Q4 2023 and Q2 2024. Either way, with a Ubisoft Forward showcase scheduled for June, we’ll likely know more about the game’s release date soon.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
