Ubisoft has released a new live-action trailer marking the 15th anniversary of Assassin's Creed. Titled «Leap into History,» the new trailer takes fans through both the series' past itself and the historical settings they've experienced while playing the Assassin's Creed games, as a lot of nostalgic moments from the games are replayed. Lasting over 90 seconds, the «Leap into History» trailer manages to cover all the mainline games and their various historical settings, beginning of course with Altair from the first Assassin's Creed title.
After Altair leaps off a building, presumably into a haystack, the trailer moves on to Assassin's Creed's most recent setting, giving fans a look at the female Eivor from Assassin's Creed Valhalla. There then appears to be a focus on the more recent games, as the following clips give viewers a look at some combat inspired by both Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Origins. There doesn't seem to be a chronological order to how the games appear in the new trailer, with it then shifting to the perspective of a live-action Edward Kenway from Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag.
Ubisoft Forward Will Give Updates on Assassin’s Creed, Mario + Rabbids, and Skull and Bones
There's a lot of action in the «Leap into History» trailer, showing various assassins taking on their most famous foes. Of course, Assassin's Creed's Ezio Auditore gets a nod in the trailer later on, with a reference to his iconic mission during the Venetian Carnival in Assassin's Creed 2. All but one of the settings shown off in the «Leap into History» trailer are from previous games in the franchise, and while it only appears for a second, it seems that Ubisoft has included a possible reference to Ancient Rome in the clip.
