The new trailer for Archer season 13 hints at how the team will honor Malory's legacy. Archer follows the exploits of self-centered spy Sterling Archer and his colleagues. The series has been running since 2009, and it has garnered several awards, including an Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program in 2016. Archer features the voice talent of H. Jon Benjamin, Judy Greer, Aisha Tyler, Amber Nash, Chris Parnell, Lucky Yates, and the late Jessica Walter.
FX Networks shared the new trailer for Archer season 13, highlighting where the team currently stands while also showing how the series is handling Walter's absence as Malory Archer following her death in 2021. The trailer sees The Agency acquired by new corporate overlords, the International Intelligence Agency, which has the team attempting to win the Agency Skills Competition while butting heads over potential leadership. And while Malory isn't featured in the trailer, Archer does offer audiences a glimpse of how the show will move forward. Check out the trailer for Archer season 13 below:

Malory Archer was not recast following Walter's passing. The character was given an emotional ending in Archer season 12 that felt like a fitting way for viewers to say goodbye. With the season 13 trailer mentioning Malory's legacy, it looks like Archer has chosen to honor the late actress' work while allowing the show to move on without her. The new season of Archer will premiere on August 24 on FXX before streaming on Hulu the next day.
