ArcheAge is laying out some of what to expect this month for the June update. Expect a new transform system, a new arena mode, Flag War, and more global play.
The new Daru transform system is on the way. What this means is that, after using the Daru Transformation skill, your character will be able to turn into Daru. At least for a little while. Instead of making Daru a separate new race, the team decided to work on another option that seemed more suitable.
So, what this amounts to for players is that once you transform, while the appearance lasts, you’ll get boosted noncombat activity, including vocation activities. Getting the option to transform will be a permanent unlock, as long as you get your hands on the Daru Transformation Scroll. Get that by completing a certain quest that you'll have to meet certain conditions for, and when you use the scroll, you'll permanently unlock the skill.
On completely different note, Flag War is a 10v10 competitive mode that the team will be testing out for four weeks, to get feedback. Using that feedback, they plan on bringing it back later as in always available mode.
There are no factions involved in Flag War, just the two teams, and there are a few ways to win: Get 250 points first, get the most flags. or defeat the most enemies. It's Red versus Blue, and you're automatically sorted when you enter the arena.
When the match begins, neutral colored Flags will appear all over the place, and when you grab one, it will be on your back and change into your team's color. There are a number of rules and ways you can get points, Much of this will be familiar to anyone who's played through Capture the Flag modes before.
ArcheAge is also testing out the «Make a Splash” global arena.
