Aquaman's New Costume Is One Of His Best Designs Ever

In his new Black Label series, Aquaman received a new costume that not only gives the longtime Justice Leaguer a new look but gives him the dark design he deserves. In Aquaman: Andromeda #1 by DC Comics, Arthur Curry can be seen navigating the waters with an all-new look that makes him look seem more connected with the ocean than ever before, as Aquaman's colorful new ensemble is the perfect twist on the character's classic costume.
Aquaman is well-past being the butt of jokes, as the character's sillier Super Friends appearances and Silver Age history with DC Comics have been pushed to the side in the last two decades as the hero has become cooler than ever before. Making Aquaman a badass, after being primarily seen as a joke, began in the 90s and was most prominent in Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis' run on the character during The New 52 era. The Aquaman film starring Jason Mamoa continued making the hero seem cool to a general audience, becoming the highest-grossing DCEU film ever. Now, DC's Black Label is doing an even darker take on Aquaman in Aquaman: Andromeda.
