Apple Watch Series 8 may tell you if you have fever!
The Apple Watch Series 8 is expected to make its debut in the fall of 2022. Though Apple hasn't revealed anything about this upcoming watch, several rumours and leaks have tried to paint a reliable picture of the upcoming Apple Watch 8. In a recent development, the Apple Watch 8 is tipped to feature a dedicated body temperature sensor that can detect if the user has a fever or not. As per the report of Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, you can expect some new health-tracking features from the next Apple Watch.
Earlier, Gurman reported that Apple has been planning to add a body-temperature detection sensor to its next Apple Watch series and now he believes that the feature will arrive in the standard Apple Watch Series 8 and a new rugged edition that’s aimed at extreme sports athletes. Besides these, Apple is also expected to launch a new version of the lower-end Apple Watch SE, however, the body temperature sensor is unlikely to be available in it.
Gurman shed light on the new sensor that Apple Watch Series 8 may feature to detect fever. Well, it says that it may not give you a specific reading like a thermometer but it will be able to tell you if it believes that you have a fever. Not just that, in such a case, the Apple Watch will then recommend that you talk to a doctor or use a dedicated thermometer to check your specific body temperature.
