Apple has diversified its component suppliers ahead of the iPhone 14 launch. This will not only reduce the iPhone-maker's dependence on a single supplier but also allow the company to have a stronger bargaining position. This news comes from the analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who had said that Apple is facing supply issues.
"SG Micro has passed the quality certification of the higher-end iPhone 14 and will likely ship the PMICs (battery and level shifter) for the iPhone 14 in 2H22," Kuo's tweet informed. This will be the first time for SG Micro to ship Apple's high-end products- iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. This also indicates that Apple is expecting its revenue contribution from these high-end phones will increase significantly and it is therefore, boosting production to new highs.
